The Local Government of Mikóháza submitted an application to the “ Új Magyarország Fejlesztési Terv Észak-Magyarországi Operatív Program” support system with the title of "Községháza bővítése, akadálymentesítése Mikóházán (The expansion of the village hall and forming it accessible for disabled people). The application won a support on 28th October 2009. The European Union and the State of Hungary have provided 12.880.127HUF financial support for the 14.311.253 HUF total cost of the development.
The contractor of the tender has been chosen by the procurement procedures of the Local Government of Mikóháza. The realization of the tender is going to help disabled people with accessing the several services of the village hall self-sufficiently by providing special technical equipments.
The project is getting to its final stage. Not only disabled people but also other local residents enjoy the easier access and the more flexible office work, which are also supported by new information charts and induction loop.
In the future the Local Government would like to continue making an effort to exploit the similar facilities to modernise the village.
